Visualizing a liver metastasis with viral-GFP in an orthotopic model of colon cancer. OBP-401, a conditionally-replicative adenovirus expressing GFP, was injected into orthotopically-implanted colorectal liver metastases 3 days before surgical resection. After BLS, both a GFP fluorescence signal from OBP-401 and an RFP signal from RFP-labeled cells were detected in the surgical bed (A). After OBP-401-FGS, there were no residual cancer cells (B). Adapted from (117). GFP, green fluorescence protein.
