The cytotoxic effect of psychotropic drugs is not reduced by co-treatment with biogenic amines. MCF7 cells were treated with psychotropic drugs alone (at a concentration equivalent to IC₅₀) or in presence of 5 μmol/L biogenic amines serotonin, dopamine or histamine. Viabilities were assessed by MTT assay at different time points and presented as fold change relative to control cells treated with vehicle only. Data show mean ± SD of one representative experiment out of three independent experiments performed in quadruplicate.
