Demographics, contraceptive use, smoking status, and psychiatric medication use correlated with salivary estradiol level. All participants prescribed acute-acting psychotropic medications (stimulants, benzodiazepines, etc.) refrained from taking that medication on the day of the scan. All scans occurred between the hours of 1:00 — 7:00pm. The racial categories used by the US Census (African-American, Asian-American, Native-American, Latinx, and Pacific Islander) are included in the category “non-White.” Digit span is from the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale-IV.
