ACHN cells were cultured and either transfected with eIF4EBP1 overexpression plasmids or control FLAG plasmids for 48 h. Whole cell lysates were collected for subsequent IP using anti-eIF4EBP1 antibody or anti-FLAG antibody and protein A/G beads. An in-solution trypsin digestion was performed on the IP proteins, and the digested samples were sent for mass spectrometry detection. A representative list of the most abundant proteins identified in the digest indicated bromodomain testis associated protein as a candidate novel binding partner of eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4E binding protein 1. IP, immunoprecipitation.
