a-c, Direct comparison of homomeric GABA_A β3 receptor alone (a), with addition of Nb25 (b), ${\text{Mb}}_{\text{Nb25}}^{\text{c}7\text{HopQ}}$ (c) or ${\text{Mb}}_{\text{Nb}25}^{\text{cYgjKE}2}$ (d) in single particle cryo-EM. For each sample, one representative image from 20 to 80 analysed micrographs is given. White scale bars indicate 20 nm. The 2D classes were separated into two groups: top-view (top) and tilted-view (bottom). The counts of particles with a top-view or a tilted-view orientation are indicated. The reconstructed 3D models, the corresponding particle distribution “efficiencies” (E_od) and the projections of the particles over azimuth and elevation angles are also compared amongst the different datasets.
