(A) BBS1 controls centrosome polarization during IS assembly by promoting the dynein-dependent recruitment of the 19S RP to the centrosome, allowing for the proteasome-regulated clearance of centrosome-associated F-actin. (B) In T cells depleted of BBS1 or treated with proteasome inhibitors the centrosome does not polarize to the IS due to defective depletion of centrosomal F-actin.
