Study sample. There was no statistically significant correlation between the long exercise test (LET) results and genotype (X2 p=0.625). Patients with Paramyotonia congenita (PMC) were not included in the main sample as the LET pattern is often different from periodic paralysis and a positive LET is not a diagnostic criterium for this condition, which has a typical response pattern on SET particularly after cooling.
