a. Analytical Size Exclusion Chromatography profile. The protein mix (derived from individually purified COQ proteins) was pre-incubated with both CoQ₁₀ and geranyl-geraniol, a mimic of the poly-isoprene tail, as it gave rise to a sharper gel filtration peak. b. SDS-PAGE of the pooled and concentrated fractions corresponding to peak 1. Size Exclusion Chromatography and SDS-PAGE analyses were repeated in n = 3 independent experiments.
