The tree was inferred from 146 single-copy genes and show WGDs and WGTs based on inferences from the current study and previous analyses (Supplementary Table 4.2 and Supplementary Figure 4.2.8). For a more comprehensive tree showing the phylogenetic position of seagrasses within Alismatales, see Supplementary Figure 1.1. The dashed lines represent additional freshwater Alismatales species (phylogenetic position inferred using transcriptome data), mainly added for illustrative purposes to show non-monophyly of seagrass species. All branches have bootstrap support >98%. See text and Methods for details.
