hMSCs were incubated for 24 h on flat control, NS or NN 2D cpTi surfaces, followed by incubation for a further 24 h with media alone (top row, control), S. aureus (middle row) or P. aeruginosa (bottom row). hMSCs were stained with LIVE/DEAD and imaged using a fluorescence microscope. Scale bar, 100 μm.
