(b) shows the thresholds for 5- level pulse-width modulated approximations of each of the pulses in (a). The thresholds are given in A/μs and thresholds above 230 A/μs are displayed in grey. (c) shows the percent difference in median thresholds between the conventional and pulse-width modulated pulses.
