The thickness of the tunica media and tunica adventitia showed no remarkable changes, whereas the tunica intima exhibited increased thickness with aging (n = 35, r = 0.43, P = 0.0002). (b) The outer and inner axes of tunica media with aging. Both the outer and inner axes of the tunica media significantly increased with aging. As a consequence, the renal artery (RA) became dilated with aging.
