Illustrative case with serial ROTEM analyses

Case history: male patient aged 30 years, admitted 3 days after a tick bite with a 1-day history of fever, lethargy, headache, and anorexia. The patient developed gingival bleeding on days 7 and 8 of illness and was discharged on day 11 of illness. The patient did not receive any blood products during admission.
