Renal endothelin A (ETA) protein expression is reduced in female systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) mice on a chronic high-salt diet. Relative expression of renal ETA was significantly decreased in SLE mice fed a 4% NaCl diet compared with those fed a 0.4% NaCl diet; *P = 0.0265, per 2-tailed, unpaired t test. n = 11 (0.4% NaCl) and n = 8 (4% NaCl).
