Multiple linear regression models with robust covariance were employed, with adjustment for age, sex, ethnicity, education, ideal smoking status, ideal physical activity status, hypertension, diabetes, ideal cholesterol status, presence of cardiac conditions, body mass index, excessive alcohol use, presence of thyroid dysfunctions, and presence of depression.
