Note that miss rate for each condition is the complement of hit rate (1-hit rate), and false alarm rate to old items or new items is the complement of respective correct rejection rate (1-correct rejection rate). All analyses in the manuscript were computed over d’s (main text and SI), rather than mnemonic outcome rates, because the d’ metric accounts for response bias. CR=correct rejection.
