Samples K50, K51 and K52 are commercial kratom products that were purchased for this study. Sample K55 is a young cultivated kratom plant. Quantities were calculated by preparing methanolic extracts in triplicate and analyzing by LC–MS.

^bUncertainty calculated using standard deviation of triplicate extractions, each analyzed separately.

^cLimit of quantitation (LOQ) for speciofoline is 4.9 ng/mL (Table S3) and this sample contained speciofoline below that level.
