Significant wall edema (dashed arrow) and hyperemia (solid arrows in b) are also present. The US Murphy sign was not assessed owing to the patient’s altered mental status. The findings are indicative of bile stasis and acute cholecystitis. Sterile green thick dark bile was visualized during cholecystostomy placement.
