The effect of $\eta$ Figure on the left shows infection over time for $\eta \ge 0.6$. Any policy which yields $1\ge \eta \ge 0.6$ will help in flattening the curve. Figure on the right shows Lockdown implemented after 20 days from the onset of the pandemic for $\beta =0.5$ and $\beta =0.4$. It shows that the suppression is achieved. Smaller values of $\eta$ yield quicker suppression.
