Figure 3

Patterns of m6A-methylation within transcribed RNAs. (A) The proportion of m6A peaks distributed among five cortical RNA regions at E- or P-stage. (B) The proportion of m6A peaks distributed in the genome. U: upstream; D: downstream; TSS: translational start site; TTS: translational termination site; UTR: untranslated region; start: translation start codon; stop: translation stop codon; CDS: coding sequence; K: kilobase. The U2000 and D2000 refer to 2000 bp upstream of genes and 2000 bp downstream of genes, respectively. CDSu2k and CDSd2k refer to 2KB upstream and downstream of CDS, respectively. Tss100, TTS100, Stop100 and Start100 refer to the range of 100bp centered on TSS, TTS, start codon and stop codon. There might be overlapping parts among some of the regions above. The asterisked bar in each group differ significantly from those unmarked (Tukey’s HSD, p < 0.05).
