Significant differences were observed between cryptogenic strokes and cardio embolic strokes (CE) (p=0.029). T-tau concentrations differed also between groups with small vessel disease (SVD) and large vessel disease (p=0.037) and groups with SVD and CE (p=0.011). However, statistical significances between different etiological groups did not remain after corrections.
