DSC thermograms (showing specific heat capacity [Cp] as a function of the temperature) of the protein and its complex with RNA collected in 50 mM phosphate buffer (pH 6.5) containing 150 mM NaCl and 1.0 mM DTT using a scan rate of 1.0°C/min are shown. The dotted lines denote the melting temperature (Tm) for cdM2-1 in the absence and the presence of RNA (100 μM). The concentration of the protein was 100 μM, and that of nucleic acid was 0, 50, and 100 μM.
