ZIKV replication is reduced in IRE1α knockdown cells. (A and B) Viral replication levels in IRE1α knockdown A549 cells. A549 cells were transfected with siNC, siIRE1α-1, or siIRE1α-2. At 48 h posttransfection, the cells were infected with ZIKV at an MOI of 3. Then, the cells were harvested at 24 h p.i. for the measurement of IRE1α and ZIKV E protein levels (A).
