Inhibition of SCD1 expression does not affect cell viability. MCF7 (a) and MDA‐MB‐231 (b) cells were transfected with 10 or 20 nM of siRNA‐SCD1 or siRNA‐CTRL. The SCD1 silencing was confirmed at the mRNA (top panels) and protein levels (bottom panels). β‐actin and α‐tubulin were both used as loading controls. The figure shows representative results of at least three independent experiments. (c and d) Cell viability was evaluated using the MTS/PMS technique 48 h after siRNA transfection.
