Sensorimotor network segregation significantly mediated the relationship between age and spatial cognition performance (top). Sensorimotor network glucose metabolism significantly mediated the relationship between age and response time (bottom). In both analyses, when accounting for the mediation effects, the direct effects of age on spatial cognition and response time were no longer significant.
