Sunderland grade III, axons and the endoneurium were damaged, but not the perineurium. After nerve crush injury, PRP delivers multiple neurotrophic factors (NGF, BDGF, IGF-1, PDGF, VEGF, HGF, etc). This new microenvironment gives way to the survival, proliferation and differentiation of SCs and further promotes the release of neurotrophic factors by SCs. At the same time, promoting vascularization along the fibrin cable precedes axon regeneration.
