Adoption of new‐generation genetic resources for enhanced trait discovery. The power and precision of trait discovery have improved several folds with increasing adoption of multi‐parent populations and association panel. Importantly, mapping populations derived from multiple founders retain benefits of both linkage analysis and association mapping.
