Markers linked to ALS resistance loci are shown with their location mapped on the Phaseolus vulgaris reference genome version 2.1 (available at https://phytozome.jgi.doe.gov/pz/portal.html). The resistance genes approved by the Bean Improvement Cooperative Genetics Committee and their approximate positions are marked in green on the right side of the chromosome. Centromere regions are shown in light blue as reported in the reference genome (Schmutz et al., 2014). Resistance genes, containing an ARC domain (PF00931) are marked in red, with points if there are less than three loci and with bands if there are three or more loci. A summary of markers linked to resistance loci and their primer sequences is given in the Supplemental Table S1.
