Effects of intra-articular injections of MSCs in AIA. (a) Knee diameter (mm) was used as an index of swelling (joint inflammation) and measured at days 1, 2, 3 and 7 post arthritis induction. Significant reductions are seen following Sdc3^−/− MSCs and Sdc3^+/+ MSCs injection in AIA mice.
