In silico data integration pipeline. (1) 51 peer‐reviewed papers, spanning 21 years were used to compile data on various parameters of connected neurons in rat CA1 including connection probability, number of synapses per connections, axo‐dendritic innervation profile, kinetics, STP profiles, calcium and temperature sensitivity. (2) Parameters were integrated into a common framework and experimental paradigm, including temperature, [Ca2+]o and liquid junction potential (LJP) corrections. TM models of STP were fit to publicly available raw traces. (3) In silico paired recordings were run to correctly adjust the unitary peak conductance of connections with experimentally characterized postsynaptic potential (PSP) amplitudes. (4) The resulting parameters were averaged within each of the nine classes of synapses and used predictively to describe experimentally uncharacterized pathways [Color figure can be viewed at wileyonlinelibrary.com]
