The effect of the continentalic acid on the iNOS and Nrf2 level using immunohistochemistry in the lung tissue following LPS-induced ALI. The changes in the iNOS and Nrf2 level were assessed in all the treated groups and expression were quantified. The continentalic acid markedly attenuated the expression level of iNOS protein compared to the LPS treated group. However, the continentalic acid enhanced the expression level of the Nrf2 protein significantly compared to the LPS treated group. All data were expressed as mean (n = 8) ± SD. ###p < 0.001 compared to control group; *p < 0.05, **p < 0.01 and ***p < 0.001 compared to LPS-treated group
