Following pMCAO, the expression of (a) Il6, (b) Nos2, (c) Il1b, (f) Mrc1 and (h) Ym1 was higher, and (g) Arg1 showed an upward trend, if compared to the sham vehicle group. Treatment with MS-275 and resveratrol promoted a mild reduction of the expression of (a) Il6, (f) Mrc1 and (g) Arg1, and prevented the increase of (b) Nos2, (c) Il1b and (h) Ym1 transcript levels. Data (means ± s.e.m., n = 6) are expressed as fold changes over values obtained in ipsilateral hemisphere from sham operated mice.
