Criteria for using bacterial fluorescence imaging.

  • Suspected soft tissue infection (e.g., presence of 2 or more symptoms according to IWGDF criteria [9])

  • Non-healing or static wound (e.g., >4 weeks duration)

  • Wound deterioration

  • Sampling for microbiology

  • Monitoring progress following application of a particular dressing or commencement of antibiotics.

  • Monitoring progress and comparing images with those taken at a previous consultation following application of a particular antimicrobial dressing or commencement of antibiotic therapy.

  • New ulceration
