Sorafenib inhibits the mitogen-activated protein kinase pathway following recombinant activated factor (RAF) inhibition, and calcium influx inhibits steroid receptor coactivator (Src)-mediated focal adhesion kinase (FAK), resulting in the inhibition of phosphoinositide 3-kinases (PI3K)/Akt/ mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) signaling.
