Infrared absorption frequencies acquired at different pressure values during decompression to ambient pressure. The peak position of the ν4 band is not observable due to the overlap with the saturating absorption of the Ia diamond anvils. ν1 and ν3 are overlapped and unresolved. Literature values for PH3 are also reported.

bend bending, str stretching, -s symmetric, -as asymmetric.
