Wild-type and miR-21 KO mice were intratracheally instilled with 50 μg per mouse of Nano-Ni or with either Nano-Ni-P or Nano-Ni-C with same molar concentration of Ni as Nano-Ni. Control mice were instilled with physiological saline. Monocytes were isolated from mouse peripheral blood at day 3 after exposure. The expression level of the target gene was determined by real-time PCR and normalized by endogenous control GAPDH. Data are shown as mean ± SE (n=3~6). * p<0.05 vs. Control; # p<0.05 vs. Nano-Ni or Nano-Ni-P group; & p<0.05 vs. wild-type group with the same treatment.
