As multiple cloud water samples may have been collected near the soundings summarized, there were more data points used in the calculation of the CW as compared to the number of soundings for the four categories below: NiCE = 8 (BB) and 6 (non-BB); FASE = 12 (BB) and 7 (non-BB). “N/A” entries in the Na column indicate insufficient flight time below cloud base to get a reliable measurement of aerosols.
