The two‐letter code identifies each area according to country standard ISO 3166‐1, except for Hawaii (HI), Society Islands (SI), and Easter Island (EI). Clade III in TW and PH is represented by Colocasia formosana; all other samples belong to Colocasia esculenta, except possibly “Other” from Myanmar (recorded as C. esculenta in the field, based on vegetative characters, but showing an outgroup haplotype, CESMM12 (Figure 2, Figure S1). The number of wild or cultivated samples representing each clade is given at lower left (total n = 178)
