Morphological changes in hPESCs during induced differentiation. (a) After 40 passages, hPESCs maintained a normal diploid karyotype of 46, XX. (b) Undifferentiated hPESCs showed dense nest-like growth and clear contour. (c) On the fourth day of induction, the cells were scattered in small clumps at the bottom of the dish. (d–h) cell morphology on the 7th, 9th, 11th, 14th, and 21st day of induction, respectively. Cell morphology gradually changed to polygonal and epithelioid.
