Mothers and fathers To obtain experiences of both mothers and fathers
Emergency and planned admission To obtain experiences of parents/caregivers dealing with both planned and emergency admission as there are often psychological sequelae associated with emergency versus planned admissions to PICU51
Age of child:
  • ≤6 months (or pre-weaned babies)

  • >6 months–1 year

  • >1–2 years

  • >2–4 years

To obtain differing experiences of feeding during significant developmental feeding milestones for example weaning versus autonomous child self-feeding during preschool years53
