MaR1 induces an anti-inflammatory phenotype in aged bone marrow-derived macrophages. Bone marrow was flushed from 24-month old mice and differentiated into M0 macrophages using mCSF. Cultures were treated with either LPS (10 ng/mL) or IL-4 (40 ng/mL) in the presence of vehicle or MaR1. After 12 hours of treatment, levels of (A) inflammatory transcripts and (B) levels of anti-inflammatory transcripts were assessed using RT-PCR. For all groups, n = 4.
