Emergency department visits per 100 beneficiaries 4.3 6.0 1.7 Neither

The rows in the table correspond to racial or ethnic comparisons associated with substantively important overall disparities reported in Table 2. The absolute value of the difference in within‐PO disparities between POs affiliated with health systems and nonaffiliated POs is estimated using an interaction term. All results are statistically significant at P < .05 after adjusting for multiple comparisons with the exception of those indicated by the word “Neither” in the far right column. A weighted average of the stratified differences reported in this table might differ from the mean within‐PO absolute difference reported in Table 3 because the stratified differences are estimated using recycled predictions based on a model containing an interaction term.
