Serum corticosterone measurement. Blood samples were collected after all behavioral tests were completed to measure serum corticosterone levels. Serum corticosterone levels decreased significantly following CUS exposure. This change was attenuated by BHB administration. P < .05 for comparisons between nonstress + PBS vs CUS + PBS and CUS + PBS vs CUS + BHB. Error bars represent the standard error of the mean (SEM).
