Changes in swim motility of wild-type and mutant strains of Y. enterocolitica. Y. enterocolitica was grown in LBNS semisolid plates supplemented with 0.6 g/L L-arabinose at 26 °C. Swim diameters were measured after 48 h of incubation. Data are average values and standard deviations of triplicate experiments. The statistical comparison shows that there is a significant difference between WT (wild-type) and ΔwaaF; there is a significant difference between WT and ΔrcsF/ΔrcsC/ΔrcsB single mutant; there is a significant difference between ΔwaaF and ΔwaaF-ΔrcsF/ΔwaaF-ΔrcsC/ΔwaaF-ΔrcsB double mutant. An asterisk indicates a significant difference with ** p < 0.01.
