An unrooted phylogenetic tree of homologous mitochondrial and mitosomal ADP/ATP carrier sequences for a selection of eukaryotic organisms based on alignments. The tree was calculated using RAxML. The mitosomal ADP/ATP carrier of the parasite Cryptosporidium parvum is in an early branch of the Apicomplexa, as expected on the basis of species phylogeny.
