NRVMs were pre-treated with (SA, 0.5μM), PF4618433 (PF, 5μM), or both (3 h) and then treated with PMA (300 nM, 60 min). A representative fluorescent image is shown for each group (red, cardiac marker sarcomeric α-actinin; green, Cx43; blue, DAPI). Quantification was the percentage of total fluorescent intensity of Cx43 at GJ plaque to total Cx43. (one-way ANOVA, **P<0.01, ***P<0.001).
