Both FOXD3 and ZIC3 are involved in pluripotency regulation pathway. The figure has been obtained and modified under CC-BY 4.0 international license from Reactome. It shows that NANOG, POU5F1 (OCT4) and SOX2 bind to the promoters of different target genes which further activates or suppresses the expression of those target genes^43–46. The mentioned genes in this figure have been described to be involved in the core transcriptional network of pluripotent stem cells^47–49.
