HMGB1 upregulated phosphorylation of Akt and ERK signalling pathways. HGC-27 cells were transfected with GFP-HMGB1 or negative plasmids for 24 h (A), or HMGB1 shRNA and negative plasmids for 48 h (B) and phosphorylation of Akt, mTOR, P70S6K, S6, ERK, P90RSK and CREB were measured by Western blotting. Their relative levels were normalised to total protein respectively. The relative levels of HMGB1 were normalised to β-actin.
