Human monocyte-derived macrophages were incubated for 24 h with each oil (200 pg/ mL of SPM precursors) or vehicle (PBS + 0.1% EtOH) in combination or not with (a) ALOX5 inhibitor (10 μM Zileuton) or (b) ALOX15 inhibitor (25 μM PD146176). Fluorescent bacterial bioparticles were added and phagocytosis was assessed after 1h of incubation. Results are expressed as percent increase over control.
