Assessing the efficiency of CRISPR/Cas9-mediated DNA cleavage at the shits1 locus. T7 Endonuclease I (T7EI) assay was performed to assess mutagenesis efficiency using the CRISPR/Cas9 RNP complexes. T7EI-induced cleavage at the shits1 target site (resulting in 539 bp and 318 bp fragments) was observed in all injected samples and not in the uninjected control embryos.
